On Thursday and Friday, we took a break from all the driving, and we just hung around the campground. We used the opportunity to get caught up on a few housekeeping chores: laundry, washing the truck, a trip to Walmart, etc. We called an RV guy in to adjust the trailer brakes. The manufacturer recommends you do that after the first 1,000 miles on the vehicle. Since this is our first big road trip, we had not gotten them checked before leaving home. Even though we’ve driven over 1,000 miles on this trip, we were not able to schedule a check until now, where we are staying in one place for a few days. Scott, the guy who came out to check the brakes, showed Joe how to do the check, so that in the future, Joe can do it himself. Scott recommended doing a check once a year.

The Loveland RV Resort is very nice. There are lots of trees, and in certain spots you get views of the mountains. There is a swimming pool, a putt-putt mini golf (a tiny one), a laundromat, a club house, a small RV store, and pretty much anything you want or need while camping. We’ve even had time to set up our tables and chairs under the trees and enjoy just sitting outdoors. This morning I took an early morning walk around the campground when the crisp mountain air was nice and cool, and everything was quiet.

We’ve enjoyed just hanging out these last couple of days. It is a nice break from our constant on-the-go schedule that we’ve had since we left home. We are getting rejuvenated, and will (hopefully) be ready to hit the road tomorrow morning (bright and early) to continue our grueling vacation (as my brother likes to say).

I don't have any scenic pictures to post today, since we just hung around the campground, so I'll take this opportunity to post some pictures of the inside of our camper to show you our living quarters for these three weeks.
