So the night in the Cracker Barrel parking lot went well. It was very quiet and peaceful. I forgot to mention yesterday that I noticed Joe trying to load up one of the rocking chairs from the Cracker Barrel porch on top
of the camper. He had in mind for Granny (Kay) to ride in the rocker on top of the camper as we travel down the road (#beverlyhillbillies).
Today (Monday) we continued traveling in Indiana. We pretty much traversed the state of Indiana from northeast to southwest, enjoying the countryside. Although I have to be honest with you, after awhile it all looks the same. Once you've seen one cornfield, you've seen them all. Once you've seen one barn, you've seen them all. Once you've seen one cow...well, you get the idea.
The scenery did get very interesting as we approached the Kentucky/Illinois/Missouri border. We drove just south of Cairo, Illinois near where the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers merge, on roads built on levees, with great views of the Mississippi River on our left. We crossed the Ohio River first. The bridge was very narrow but the view from the top was great. There were many barges on the river - they apparently were having a barge reunion - and lots of other activity. Shortly after crossing the Ohio River, we came upon the bridge for the Mississippi River. It was a very old looking, rickety sounding bridge, but I'm sure it was safe. After all, it was built by the government. Our camper made lots of noise going across it - clackety clack clack. Here are some pictures of the bridges and the Ohio River.

After our exciting river crossings, we drove to Poplar Bluff, Missouri where we are staying at a real campground tonight - not in a parking lot! It is a very nice place called Camelot RV Campground.
We have been having beautiful weather on this trip: total sunshine, although it has been hot. It's usually very pleasant in the mornings, with temps in the upper 60s or lower 70s, but by midday we usually have to give up the fresh air and turn on the air conditioner. Today it got up to 96 degrees in Poplar Bluff.
One more thing: we are trying to come up with a name for our camper. Any suggestions? We are accepting both male and female name suggestions, because at this time we are not sure if our camper identifies as male or female (or as a tractor trailer, for that matter.) Feel free to post suggestions in the comments section. If you prefer not to post in the comments, you can send me your suggestion by way of text or email. (For the benefit of Millennials reading this: email is a computer-based application for the exchange of messages between users, formerly used by most people, including Millennials, but mostly used by Boomers today. It is the electronic equivalent of a letter, with advantages in timeliness and flexibility.) And please don't ask, "What is a letter?"!!!
